Recycled Glass Tray Gift Idea
This is one of the most beautiful and fun ideas! A champagne bottle flattened into a gorgeous tray. Deep green color of the glass combined with ornamental decoration of copper and glass beads makes it a unique and artistic, though very practical gift. It absolutely can be a gift to yourself! Each piece is one-of -a- kind, original piece of art, in slightly different shape and configuration. It serves plenty of great uses: it works as a fantastic cooking spoon tray/holder, a serving tray for cheeses or snacks, a beautiful soap holder for a bathroom, you probably can even burn incense stick in it. It can be purchased in a more flat design - perfect for cheese display or bit more curved one - it can even hold a dip! Each item is unique so it might vary slightly from the picture. Smooth, thick glass is a snap to wash, though we do not recommend putting it in a dishwasher because of the artwork. This is a fantastic application of recycling - the champagne bottles come from hot air balloon company and were used to toast a successful flight. The bottles than were melted and decorated by our local Snohomish downtown art and pottery place for a gourmet store. The top of the bottle was opened by cutting with a sword, following Napoleon's tradition. But that story you will receive included with your order... This item ships insured for damage.
