 I had stayed away from shrugs as they usually look to me like somebody is trying to wear toddler's clothing. When I saw this one I fought with myself, as I initially liked it, but didn't want to admit it and budge from my convictions. I know that the Natural Clothing Co. has a great return policy and customer service, so I decided at some point to just add it to an order I was placing and return it later - after it proved my point once and for all, that shrugs look strange. Well, I was wrong, and now glad that for once I wasn't as stubborn as usual. By now I own a brown, a moss green one and I just added the black one to the cart. I still cannot quite put my finger on what is different, but for one they are not as teeny weeny as regular shrugs, meaning they do not have that "I-stole-this-from-a-hip-4-year-old" appearance to them. They are actually quite chunky, but not too chunky that they cannot be worn to a corporate business casual environment. Especially one, where the a/c runs on ecstasy all day long, but when you step outside you die from heat. So this is not so bulky, fits in regular business totes w/o problem. Now I know that I have a more eclectic style, but I even would wear this for a semi-casual night on the town, if the weather called fo it. I have a more elegant boho style normally, so this would fit the bill.
